Workshop on fashion & the law

In this workshop, members of the IT Law Group Europe will review and discuss with in-house counsels and attorneys from a dozen French and European companies operating in the field of fashion:

  • the level of originality required by the courts in the various european countries to grant copyright protection to fashion items;
  • how the lack of harmonization in this field affects intra community sales (ie the perverse effects of the “Tod’s ECJ case”);
  • the implementation of the EC infringement directive n°2004/48 of April 29th 2004, and the calculation of damages in the various european countries in the field of fashion.
