Big data and the draft Regulation on Data Protection

On the eve of essential changes in the regulations on the protection of personal data, many companies are about to make strategic decisions about the implementation of solutions and tools from Big Data.

These decisions are not easy. Is that the legal framework for what appears as one of the most significant developments in the processing of personal data is at best unclear and uncertain.

Why a clarification is needed on rules coming from the Regulation and the interpretation given to the principles applicable to the Big Data by the European Data Protection Supervisor in a recent opinion of 19 November 2015.
