The Israeli market is a familiar market to Ulys. Israel is amongst the world-leaders in technology. This sector is incredibly active, innovative and successful, which greatly contributes overall to the impressive annual growth of the country (7.8% in 2010). The recent adhesion of Israel to the OECD creates even more opportunities. For years, Ulys has developed strong Israeli connections, actively promoting economic exchanges between the EU and Israel. Ulys assists EU companies doing business in Israel, and Israeli businesses investing in the EU. As a result, Israel became the third largest market for Ulys in terms of revenues and number of clients in 2010. For all the above reasons, and because the local regulation has recently changed, it was only natural for Ulys to establish an office in Tel Aviv, which will open in the spring 2011. To complement its activities, Ulys has also chosen a strong and competent Israeli partner, particularly for all issues involving national local regulations: Makovsky, Harpaz, Oren & Co was chosen as a perfect local partner. Also, being a French and Belgian firm, Ulys will be the one and only specialized French speaking firm established locally in all three countries. This is an important advantage considering the fact that the French speaking community is the second largest one in Israel. Half a million citizens originates from a French speaking country and still have a significant business relationship with their country of origin, most of them in the innovative industry. |
